(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BUENOS AIRES, Argentina -- Dec. 11, 2012 -- The Motorola i867 Ferrari Special Edition is the newest Android(TM)-powered smartphone with Nextel's Direct Connect (digital two-way radio). Thanks to Motorola Mobility's iDEN technology, the handset offers instantaneous high performance communication, push-to-talk (PTT) radio, cellular service, mobile Web access and messaging in a single device.



Inspired by the Ferrari 458 Italy designed by Pininfarina, the device has a unique and striking red back cover in high relief with air intakes that evoke the hood of the exclusive automobile. In addition to personalizing the handset with wallpapers and ringtones, users will receive exclusive Ferrari kits, each with a key ring and vehicle charger.

The device has many other features, including a 3.1-inch touchscreen, MP3 player, stereo Bluetooth technology, a 3.5-millimeter stereo headset jack and a 3-megapixel camera. It also includes SWYPE technology for easy text entry and two microphones with noise cancellation technology, allowing for clearer conversations. It comes with a 2GB microSD memory card, expandable up to 32GB with a card sold separately.

More than 700,000 applications are available for download on Google Play(TM), and five home screens provide quick access to frequently used items. Users also have access to relationship networks and Google Mobile(TM) services, including Google Maps(TM) for Android, Google Talk(TM)and Google Search directly on the smartphone.

The Motorola i867 Ferrari Special Edition includes the Nextel Email application, enabling the user to configure up to 10 personal and corporate email accounts. It also includes the Nextel Contacts app, which groups contacts from social media accounts allowing interaction with them at the same time.
