ERF Wireless builds wireless broadband network in South Texas

Jan 18, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- ERF Wireless, Inc., a provider of wireless and broadband products and services, has completed building its high-speed wireless broadband network in the Eagle Ford Shale region of South Texas.

This network covers oil and gas drilling and production areas that extend southwest from Yoakum, Texas, to an area near Cotulla, Texas. When combined with other South Texas wireless networks that ERF Wireless has under contract, the new network provides the ERF Wireless oil and gas subsidiary, Energy Broadband, comprehensive terrestrial wireless network coverage available for the Eagle Ford Shale region, the company said.

The company has also completed additional network expansions and established three separate new network regions in the Permian Basin of West Texas in areas west and south of the Midland-Odessa area. Energy Broadband has also opened a new field office in Seminole, Texas, to support company operations with localized technical services in western Texas and eastern New Mexico.

Dean Cubley, CEO of ERF Wireless, said: "The completion of our recent network build-outs has added approximately 22,000 square miles of new terrestrial wireless coverage in North America for ERF Wireless. That should translate into a greater opportunity for Energy Broadband to continue its growth in the oil and gas industry. The expanded coverage should also provide an opportunity for our Enterprise Network Services Division, as well as our Wireless Bundled Services Division to utilize these new networks to generate multiple revenue streams from a new pool of banking, healthcare, educational, commercial and residential customers." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
