Alestra Chooses NetCracker BSS Solution to Meet Evolving Billing Requirements

NetCracker Technology announced today that Alestra (News - Alert), the leading Mexican company in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services, has selected NetCracker to enhance its BSS in order to streamline its current billing operations and support the launch of next-generation services.

Alestra provides telecommunications and information technology services, such as Data Center, Cloud, and Security applications, vertical solutions for specialized industries, in addition to consulting services for designing and managing complex ICT projects to enterprises via its fiber optic and wireless networks that supply connectivity to 198 cities in Mexico.

Alestra will use NetCracker's (News - Alert) BSS portfolio, including mediation, to provide converged billing that will transform billing information from multiple sources into a single data format. This functionality will give Alestra deeper insights into the customer experience and will also lower OpEx and TCO by eliminating a number of custom processes and applications. Flexible and highly scalable, the NetCracker solution will also support charging and billing for next-generation offrings, such as cloud services.
