Aeromexico Sets New Standard in Customer Service; Offers PressReader in Airport Lounges

MEXICO CITY & VANCOUVER, British Columbia --(Business Wire)--

In a day when innovation is part of leadership in the aviation industry, Aeromexico - Mexico's global airline - has changed the flight waiting time to its Club Premier passengers by implementing PressReader, a complimentary all-you-can-read digital newsstand in two of its Salon Premier lounges in the Mexico City and Cancun airports.

Starting in May, PressReader will offer Aeromexico travelers full content access to more than 2,500 newspapers and magazines in 60 languages from more than 100 countries, which can be read on personal laptops and mobile devices, and downloaded from the Salon Premier Wi-Fi service.

"We pride ourselves on delivering the ultimate customer service," said Edouard Piquet, Aeromexico's SVP Customer Experience. "By offering PressReader to our travelers, we give them a unique experience with access to news and events they're most interested in, their favorite magazines or news about their upcoming destination."

Aeromexico, a founding member of SkyTeam, reported 15 percent of Mexico's international market share in 2013. It operates more than 600 daily flights to 80 destinations across the Americas, Europe and Asia. The Mexico City and Cancun airports handle the bulk of domestic and international flights for both Aeromexico and its SkyTeam partner airlines.

"We are happy to offer Aeromexico's valued members our exclusive service to meet the demands of local and global guests traveling through the Salon Premier lounges," said Igor Smirnoff, PressReader's Chief Commercial Officer. "By partnering with airlines, travelers have a unique experience they cannot obtain at normal airport newsstands."

Aeromexico is providing PressReader as a complimentary service. Passengers travelling with Aeromexico and partner airlines will be able to read the news in the airport lounge or download the full edition of their selected title to their mobile devices for reading during their flights. PressReader offers well- known titles like El Universal, El Financiero, The Guardian, Daily Mail, USA Today, The Washington Post and Business Traveler, to name a few.
