bpsNode Expands National Footprint with Telx Data Centers

NEW YORK, March 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Telx®, a leading provider of global interconnectivity, data center solutions, and cloud enablement services, today announced that it has partnered with bpsNode—a premier provider of managed cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)—to join the Telx Cloud Xchange ecosystem in Telx's MIA1 facility. In addition, bpsNode is expanding its footprint within Telx facilities throughout North America starting with Dallas, TX in April 2015.

Headquartered in Baltimore, bpsNode is a boutique provider of enterprise managed cloud services for businesses of all sizes, primarily hosting enterprise resource planning (ERP), online collaboration, telecom related software platforms as well as managed services to support infrastructure and software applications. bpsNode uses KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) to virtualize its hypervisors and high performance storage area networks (SANs) to provide extremely high disk speeds for workload-intensive applications. The company also utilizes the OpenNebula cloud orchestration platform to provide customers with the highest level of oversight and management for its virtual data centers.

bpsNode houses its infrastructure in MIA1, Telx's purpose built, high density and resilient facility that ensures 100 percent uptime. Telx is enabling the boutique cloud provider to serve its immediate infrastructure needs while having the flexibility to accommodate the exponential growth it has seen since its 2014 launch.

Miami further serves as a strategic location based on its proximity to bpsNode's Latin American-based clientele. bpsNode is also in the process of establishing its second cloud location in Telx's DAL1 data center in Dallas, which serves as a critically-important network exchange location for the Gulf area. With these two deployments, bpsNode is able to ensure their users receive the best possible performance by leveraging Miami for its high density compute and storage infrastructure while also tethering to the peering and network hubs located in Dallas.

"bpsNode has a proximity and latency avantage with Telx's MIA1 data center to better serve its customers in Latin America and build its presence in the Gulf of Mexico via the DAL1 facility," said Robert Foote, CTO and Co-Founder at bpsNode. "Telx is enabling us to grow our network within their facilities so we can expand our national footprint and provide more customers with our leading IaaS platform."

"Adding bpsNode to our Cloud Xchange portfolio based out of the Miami and Dallas facilities continues to strengthen our ecosystem of premium cloud solutions from cloud service provider partners," said Chris Downie, CEO, Telx. "Cloud providers like bpsNode add value to the Cloud Xchange by providing unique Infrastructure-as-a-Service and cloud solutions that enable customers to move and/or expand into the data center to achieve a higher level of availability and greater flexibility."

Further information about Telx's Cloud Xchange expansion for cloud providers and enterprise data center capabilities will be addressed at MarketplaceLIVE East on June 10th 2015 in New York City at the Times Center. Registration is now open.
