IFS (http://www.ifsworld.com/), the global enterprise applications company, announces that Brazilian pharmaceutical company Isofarma (http://site.isofarma.com.br/site/en) has chosen IFS Applications™ to replace SAP (News - Alert) Business One.

Isofarma, a pharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures, and sells IV solutions in plastic vials and bags, has selected IFS Applications after a rigorous selection process. The first phase of implementation is expected to be completed in 10 months, with the second phase scheduled for completion six months later.

"Isofarma needed an integrated solution that would meet the Good Manufacturing Practices and Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) regulations RDC 17 and RDC 54, while automating manual processes and meeting quality assurance requirements and control requirements. In addition, Isofarma wanted a solution that would provide faster and more accurate information to support the decision-making process," said Elisangela Aderaldo Vitor, information technology manager at Isofarma.

"The initiative was driven by the need to replace our current ERP solution. However, the fact that IFS is in compliance with RDC 17 (Good Manufacturing Practices) and RDC 54 (Traceability) was a major factor in our decision to select IFS," added Vitor.

IFS has proven experience with more than 50 clients in the pharmaceutical industry (http://www.ifsworld.com/en/industries/process-manufacturing/) including Farmasierra Group (http://www.ifsworld.com/en/sitecore/media-library/assets/2014/07/24/11/38/customer-stories-and-case-studies-farmasierra/), Richmond Laboratories, Bial Laboratories (http://www.ifsworld.com/en/sitecore/media-library/assets/2014/09/26/13/23/customer-stories-and-case-studies-bial/), Instituto and Fundação Butantan, Sobral Laboratory, Baldacci Laboratory, BlisFarma, and FURP (Foundation for Popular Medicine).

"The references we spoke to praised IFS and said they are satisfied with their solution," said Vitor.

"This is a very important client for IFS, not only nationally but globally. It reinforces our presence within the pharmaceutical industry," said Marcelo Danza, sales manager for IFS Latin America.

Isofarma's IFS solution includes functionality for business intelligence, call center, customer relationship management, document management, control and quality management, financials, human resources, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales and service, maintenance, and business enablers. IFS Applications also accommodates native integration with a third-party MES (manufacturing execution system) provided by Siemens (News - Alert) that enables weighing and dispensing, WMS, and laboratory information management processes.

"With IFS Applications, we are excited to have access to real-time information and BI resources to support our decision-making process," concluded Vitor.
