Streakwave Wireless, Inc., a global value-added distributor of wireless broadband products and solutions, has established and launched "Streakwave (News - Alert) do Brasil Ltda," located in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil.
Officials with Streakwave said that this new location will stock wireless broadband equipment for rapid distribution to meet the high demand for outdoor and indoor wireless applications utilized by systems integrators and WISPs throughout Brazil.
"Brazil is an ideal location for the expansion of Streakwave's global distribution network. We have seen substantial year-over-year growth and high demand both in the United States and Latin America," said Carl Moberg, CEO of Streakwave, in a statement.
Nobile Scandelari, president of Streakwave do Brasil, said that Streakwave is a leading provider of equipment for wireless applications.
Scandelari said that the company is pleased to offer a range of products from exceptional manufacturers.
"Ubiquiti (News - Alert) is pleased to be represented in Brazil and the United States by Streakwave. Our broadband networking products are in high-demand and we see Streakwave's addition of a Brazil full service distribution facility ideally suited to meet the demand," said Ben Moore, vice-president for Ubiquiti Networks, a premier manufacturer and designer of wireless broadband equipment and solutions worldwide.
Carl Moberg said that Streakwave continues to experience exceptional growth despite the worldwide economic climate.
He said that data, communications, and broadband services are vital components of commerce and residential life, making these sectors critical and growth oriented.
Janis Jankovskis, product manager for MikroTik, a long-standing manufacturer of connectivity systems and router products for wireless Internet service providers and integrators noted that there is high demand for wireless broadband solutions and Streakwave is a distributor with the expertise to truly address client projects in Brazil, especially with the rapid path of economic and technological development in the country.
“We are pleased that Streakwave will distribute our products in Brazil, as they do in the USA, because they have the critical facilities, expertise and a proven ability to supply the industry effectively," said Jankovskis.
