Opera and Zeebo Bring More Internet Options to Mexico

Opera Software, a company that develops the Opera Web browser, a multi-platform product for a wide range of platforms, operating systems and embedded Internet products, has partnered with Zeebo, Inc.
This new partnership will enable consumers in Mexico to access entertainment, education and other relevant Web sites via a full-screen, quality Internet experience from the comfort of their home.
According to Jon von Tetzchner, CEO of Opera Software (News - Alert), Opera Mini's portability has helped them earn a champion title in mobile Web browsing.
"That ability is further exploited with Zeebo as it exemplifies not only how critical an effective browsing experience is with all networked devices, but how easy it is to deploy Web technology across multiple device types today. We are thrilled to usher the Web to more markets with Zeebo."
The Zeebo system, which is currently available in storefronts throughout Brazil and Mexico, enables users to experience a better browsing experience, as the size of data transferred is reduced which in turn lowers the bandwidth.
Users also get access to Web sites on the television at a speed of 600 percent faster compared to slower Internet bandwidth, using the Opera Mini browser and the high-speed 3G networks over which Zeebo operates.
