The number of language television channels available to viewers is increasing in many countries, especially in the United States. Charter, a broadband communications company, recently revealed that its customers in the Reno, Nev., area will now be able to enjoy more Spanish language programming, thanks to the availability of KRRI, an affiliate of national Spanish language network Azteca America.
According to a press release, KRRI will be available on Charter's digital basic level of service on channel 238. KRRI is a Mass Multi Media property whose parent company is WENR Corporation.
Charter provides a full range of advanced broadband services, including advanced Charter TV video entertainment programming, Charter Internet access, and Charter phone. Charter Business similarly provides scalable, tailored, and cost-effective broadband communications solutions to business organizations, such as business-to-business Internet access, data networking, business telephone, video and music entertainment services, and wireless backhaul.
Frank Antonovich, vice president and general manager for Charter's operations in Nevada, said that Charter continues to add programming that provides value to its customers, and increases their entertainment experience. Azteca America programming is important to the company’s customers and will be a great addition to the digital basic line-up of services.
A Charter digital receiver or a TV with a QAM tuner will be needed to view KRRI on channel 238. Charter's advertising sales and production services are sold under the Charter Media brand.
Recently, Charter Communications (News - Alert), Inc. announced that Mike Lovett, president and chief executive officer; Chris Winfrey, executive vice president and chief financial officer; and Ted Schremp, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, will present at the Citi 2011 Global Entertainment, Media and Telecommunications Conference.
