The 1st Annual Telematics Brazil & Latin America conference will see the assembly of experts from companies such as Volvo, Telefonica, Continental, Google (News - Alert), and Microsoft. The industry leaders will discuss the way forward for telematics market in Latin America.
The conference in Sao Paulo on September 19th and 20th, 2011, will discuss the thriving telematics market in Latin America. The telematics market is set to grow as the Brazilian vehicle sales are projected at 3.4 million in 2011, making Brazil the fourth largest automotive market in the world.
Leaders and innovators from the government, automotive, mobile and Web industries will also gather at the conference, according to a press statement.

Recently, market research firm Global Industry Analysts said the focus on next generation vehicle telematics applications, such as in-vehicle terminal assistance, automatic vehicle identifier systems, incident detection systems, fleet operation management systems and remote vehicle diagnostics will stimulate world commercial vehicle telematics market to reach $11.2 billion by 2015.
