Leadcom Receives Multi-Year Contracts for Maintenance of Cellular Sites in Colombia, Bolivia

Israeli telecommunications group Leadcom announced that it will be expanding its activities in South America. The company has received two major multiyear contracts valued at approximately $5 million for maintenance of cellular sites in Colombia and Bolivia.

Leadcom is a large telecommunications group that operates dozens of subsidiaries in 28 countries worldwide, primarily in Africa and Central and South America. It employs over 600 employees around the world and specializes in the deployment of telecommunication infrastructures.

In a release Ofer Ahiraz, CEO of Leadcom Group, said, “The many contracts Leadcom has won recently are part of Leadcom’s strategy to expand its activity in Latin America. Leadcom is now leveraging of being one of the world’s leading cellular integrators with large footprint, implementing the high professional standards in the market.”

The latest contract entails Leadcom to provide preventative and corrective maintenance services for over 500 sites over an initial two-year period.

It was revealed that the maintenance contracts in Bolivia and Colombia follow Leadcom’s initiative taken to invest and expand the group’s maintenance activity. Earlier, in May 2011, a contract was signed for the maintenance of 1,800 sites in Ecuador.

Leadcom sources said that these contracts will augment its position in South America as a leading company in the field of design, construction and maintenance of cellular sites.

The company provides ongoing public relations services, marketing and strategic consulting, campaign management, political communication and crisis management services also. The company believes that public relations and communications are vital for advancing and protecting the reputation of customers.

Officials at Leadcom said that the company provides crisis management solutions and it offers discrete case-specific service to PR companies. It develops and implements public relations strategies besides building and managing the reputation and exposure of clients. Leadcom identifies target audiences and monitors public understanding and expectations by liaising with the media and analyzing media coverage and fostering community relations.

In offering marketing and strategic consulting, the company provides external, expert analysis of the strategies of clients. It develops marketing management and operational improvement plans to enhance efficiency, performance and general satisfaction.

Leadcom also manages and assists campaigns of political and voluntary organizations. It provides services in advertising, public opinion, identifying and reaching supporters, getting out the vote and political consultancy.

According to a TMCnet release Leadcom received a maintenance contract in 2009 valued at over US$6.2 million from a key mobile telecommunications operator in Ecuador for maintaining the site support systems of its mobile radio network.
