Agama Technologies announced that the company is expanding its monitoring service across Latin America. Two major telecommunication companies will use the Agama DTV Monitoring solution to assist with IPTV (News - Alert) quality assurance.

With a growing interest in pay-TV, customers expect the highest quality with broadband Internet and television. Outages or poor connection can frequently cause issues with delivery, but the Agama DTV Monitoring is a way to detect any early problems.

"After years of regulation, the Latin American pay-TV market is one of the most dynamic markets in the world at the moment, and with the ongoing surge in penetration of digital TV services, the operators' need for a richer understanding of the service delivery escalates to be able to assure each individual TV experience," Mikael Dahlgren, CEO at Agama Technologies, said in a press release. "We are pleased that two progressive telcos in this vibrant region have chosen our established solution to support them in ensuring a successful and high-quality IPTV service."

In the competitive industry, it’s important that companies can detect problems for the highest quality of customer service. Not only will it make customers happy, but telecommunication companies can save money on reversal fees to customers. Operators are trained to use the device on-site. The Agama TV Monitoring works in real time for all forms of video delivery, and can detect issues starting with the creation of service through the distribution to the television.

The system uses a high quality video for easy detection, and was designed to help IPTV services offer the best quality possible. The full control offers different applications for high-end, distribution network and customer premise issues. Each requires different attention. Agama realizes this with its latest monitoring system.

Agama originally showcased its DTV monitoring solution in March, at IP&TV World Forum 2012 in London.
