Luminar Introduces First 'Big Data' Analytics Solutions to Gauge U.S. Hispanic Consumers

It seems that the cloud computing bandwagon is out of date and enterprises have jumped to dig over the next buzz word – “big data.” Every second, an enterprise is in a hurry to reap the benefits of the trend.

The first big data analytics and modeling provider focused specifically on connecting marketers with U.S. Latino consumers. Luminar has made an announcement about its launch. 

Luminar, a unit of Entravision Communications Corporation, enables clients to identify predictable models of consumers’ behavior, allowing companies to reach upsell and retain Latino consumers more effectively.

So how can marketers connect with consumers?  Franklin Rios, president of Luminar, said many marketers looking to connect with the Latino consumer have relied on demographic information and broad cultural themes when developing their marketing strategies, leading to generalized campaigns.

The analysis of big data, however, offers a much deeper understanding of consumer behaviors, giving marketers the power to truly connect with U.S. Latinos in a relevant way.

“We’re proud to be the first company to apply big data analysis to Latino consumers,” Rios said, “and we look forward to providing clients with actionable insights that will positively impact their return on investment.”

Luminar provides three primary solutions to clients in the retail, consumer packaged goods, political, telecommunications, media, automotive and financial industries. These include Luminar insights app, customer decision engine, and real-time cloud insights.

Luminar works on analytics and modeling technology, and claims to unlock “big data” to provide business intelligence, robust data analytics and real-time insights that can yield greater return on investment on Latino marketing strategies.
