Mobile messaging specialist, Acision (News - Alert), recently hired Fatima Raimondi as its senior vice president and general manager for Latin America (LATAM), to manage company’s LATAM operations.
Raimondi is also responsible for the growth in the Latin American region through business development, team cultivation and developing customer and partner relationships. She will also steer the regional strategic direction, while boosting customer experience and driving demand for Acision's solutions and services across IP, cloud and enterprise messaging.
Speaking on this occasion, Raimondi said the mobile communication industry plays an important role in helping Latin America people develop and grow in all areas of life and business, often fostering new opportunities to connect across all demographics – values semi-annually highlighted at LatinComm, colocated with technology conference ITEXPO, hosted by TMC (News - Alert).
"Today the LATAM region is developing at an impressive rate, which is very exciting and important, not just to Acision, but the industry as a whole, which can create and launch new services to users who are willing to adopt and embrace,” Raimondi said. “My main focus will be to ensure that Acision's position as a driver of innovation and creator of high-demand messaging services becomes even stronger in the region by working with the company's team of talented individuals, as well as operators and enterprises, to take them a step closer to the new raft of services in the mobile messaging world."
Fatima brings a strong sales and management background in the communications industry for over 20 years in Europe and Latin America. Before Acision, Fatima was in senior management and leadership roles at Ericsson (News - Alert) where she managed multiple markets, and was most recently president of Ericsson Brazil.
In addition to her executive experience, Fatima was a board member at the Swedish Chamber in both Argentina and Brazil.
Said Jorgen Nilsson, chief executive at Acision: "With Fatima's extensive experience in the telecoms market driving sales and growing high-achieving businesses, we are confident that we can leverage her leadership to build on the success we have already had in this region, launch new services, achieve our growth objectives and explore new, exciting opportunities across Latin America."
