VoiceInterop, Inc., a provider of unified communications or UC solutions and WAVE (News - Alert) Integration Partner, announced that it has completed the first phase of a systems contract with the Uruguayan-owned power utility: Administration Nacional de Usinas y Transmisiones Electricas or UTE.

UTE is involved with the generation, transmission, distribution and marketing of electricity catering to almost one third of the population in Uruguay.

The first phase of the contract which was completed included the integration of 15 remote land-mobile radio networks with one of UTE’s ten network operating or NOC centers using WAVE interoperability and dispatch console software and VoiceInterop’s (News - Alert) AM360 radio gateways. This is expected to enable secure, real-time communication between UTE’s operations staff and power grid line crews.

The integration of all ten NOCs with UTE will result in a fully revitalized radio communications system using UC software technology and hardware from VoiceInterop, said company sources.

“Working with our partner, Teledata Uruguay, our UC solution will completely revitalize UTE’s existing communications infrastructure,” said Larry Reid, President and CEO of VoiceInterop. “This is another example of how our Value Added Resellers are able to win new business using VoiceInterop’s unified communication solutions.”

More information can be obtained about the project and about VoiceInterop’s UC solutions by contacting Jim Concannon, Director of Corporate Development.

VoiceInterop, Inc., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cleartronic, Inc. The company provides Unified Communications (News - Alert) solutions and specializes in standards-based UC middleware application development and integration of IT/Telecom systems.

The company also manufactures and sells its series of patent pending AudioMate360 IP gateway devices. Sources from the company added that the products are capable of enhancing risk mitigation features besides improving operational efficiencies for homeland security, public safety, first responder and critical infrastructure agencies and business continuity requirements.
